In today’s global landscape, businesses face increasingly complex challenges that require decisive and conscious actions to ensure a sustainable future for all.
The United Nations 2030 Agenda provides a crucial framework for facing these challenges, outlining 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that serve as a guideline for promoting economic prosperity, social justice and environmental protection.
Among the SDGs those on which, to date, BBM has decided to focus its investments are:

WHAT WE HAVE ALREADY DONE
BBM successfully renewed its Workplace Conditions Assessment (WCA), the independent assessment that evaluates working conditions, the protection of workers’ rights, and the adoption of responsible and ethical business practices.
The “#RiParto – Pià neomamme in BBM” project is also continuing. The initiative supports parenthood, facilitates the return to work after maternity leave, and promotes a healthy work-life balance.
BBM’s commitment to the local community and social inclusion is also reflected in its support for CROSSabili, the Il Colore Viola Onlus Association, and the GrappAbili project.
All employees can also access the “Dritto” platform to learn about the public welfare opportunities available to them. To support families, BBM also provides financial assistance for expenses related to summer camps and nursery schools
WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO
BBM intends to support “I Bambini delle Fate”, contributing to projects dedicated to social inclusion and to supporting people with autism and disabilities. At the same time, the company will continue to invest in the development of technical, digital, and transferable skills, alongside initiatives focused on employee welfare, parenthood, and work-life balance.
WHAT WE HAVE ALREADY DONE
BBM is continuing its decarbonisation journey through the maintenance, improvement, and continuous monitoring of its systems and energy consumption. The company is ISO 50001 certified and periodically carries out energy audits to identify new opportunities for improvement.
During 2025, seven of the sixteen Robur units used to heat the production departments were replaced with more energy-efficient equipment.
In 2025, BBM obtained ISO 14064 certification for the first time, covering the quantification, monitoring, and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions. The CO₂-equivalent emissions inventory was verified by an independent third party and provides the basis for defining reduction targets and progressively improving the company’s climate performance.
WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO
BBM is pursuing Product Carbon Footprint certification in accordance with ISO 14067, which is expected to be achieved by 2026. The analysis will make it possible to quantify the emissions associated with the product’s life cycle, identify the stages with the greatest impact, and define targeted measures to progressively improve its environmental performance.
Following the revamping of its existing photovoltaic system, BBM is developing a new plant with a capacity of approximately 200 kW. The company also plans to further expand its renewable energy generation capacity on the new facility currently under construction.
This journey will be supported by stronger energy and environmental monitoring systems and by the increasing integration of sustainability criteria into business and production processes
WHAT WE HAVE ALREADY DONE
BBM integrates ecodesign and sustainability principles into its design and development activities, directing its industrial solutions, where applicable, towards energy efficiency, durability, and material optimisation.
The company has also developed three internal research and development projects, for which patent or utility model applications have been submitted.
The cybersecurity of BBM’s business processes is managed through an ISO/IEC 27001-certified management system.
WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO
BBM has started constructing a new facility to support the company’s future growth.
The company will also continue to invest in ecodesign, process digitalisation, the energy efficiency of its machinery, and the development of innovative, reliable, and durable industrial solutions.
If we have something at heart that is our commitment to invest in environmental, social and governance (ESG) sustainability.
We embody a business vision that goes beyond increasing profit, embracing an ethical duty to operate as agents of positive change in the social and environmental fabric.
The goal is to be recognized internationally as the leading reference point for advanced solutions in the railway industry and for machine/plant manufacturing in the most demanding markets.
We want to structure the company in such a way as to make more and more use of renewable energy, with a strong commitment on the increase of photovoltaic systems in the various plants and the improvement of corporate welfare with the increase of green areas.
We want to increase the transition to more sustainable, as well as to increase the reuse of waste materials such as iron shavings.
Employee services include initiatives aimed at meeting the needs of families such as scholarships for deserving children or internships at the company, along with the development of a strategy for enriching and inclusive job training.
Materiality analysis is a process for identifying and assessing the most relevant and significant issues for an organization, allowing it to focus on issues that have a significant impact on business operations and stakeholders.
We are competitive because of our ability to design, produce, and deliver products at the right market price while meeting the expectations of all stakeholders.
In addition, we generate fair profitability, which enables business continuity, providing assurance and future stability for our team, suppliers and customers.
We use high-quality raw materials such as steel, iron and aluminum, and ensuring reliable and efficient deliveries.
Our priority is to create products that best meet our customers’ needs, maintaining high standards of quality and customization in accordance with international standards ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 27001, 50001, 3834.
We are committed to the welfare of our team and the preservation of our territory. We support local activities by participating in territorial initiatives promoted by professional associations and schools.
In recent years, the company has experienced a significant increase in the number of human resources, demonstrating a steady growth of its team. This phenomenon not only reflects the success and development of the company itself, but also its ability to enhance human resources in an ever-changing environment.
